[ast-developers] Standalone ast-pax package for AST pax(1)?

Glenn, is it possible to provide AST pax as standalone package a la
ast-ksh? I think there is a huge need in a more modern pax for Linux
and a standalone ast-pax package could provide this.

part of the bebefit of ast pax is the alternate format plugins
the plugins only build with nmake because it probes for and maintains has
the compiler/linker/runtime incantations for plugin support
the smallest package that has pax & nmake would be the ast-make package
ast-base would also work -- it adds tw and the libcmd commands
